U.S. hip-hop artist Eminem is now promoting the Crypto.com digital currency platform, joining the ranks of famous personalities supporting it. An investor has recently profited handsomely by offloading three meme-based cryptocurrencies on the Solana network. In another development, a scarce satoshi produced during the fourth halving event of Bitcoin and processed by ViaBTC has been sold at auction for a hefty sum of $2.1 million.
Eminem endorses Crypto.com
Marshall Mathers, famously recognized as Eminem, has lent his endorsement to Crypto.com through a fresh advertising initiative that’s spreading across social media platforms.
On April 26, in a post shared on platform X, Eminem publicized a promotional campaign in collaboration with Crypto.com, adopting the platform’s catchphrase “fortune favors the brave.” This marketing initiative marks the first time Crypto.com has teamed up with a high-profile celebrity for promotional purposes since their previous partnership with Matt Damon during the height of the cryptocurrency boom in October 2021.
Since 2022, many celebrities have stepped back from the cryptocurrency industry following a series of significant business failures that led to a prolonged downturn in the market lasting into 2023. The most notable failure was that of FTX, which concluded with its ex-CEO being handed a 25-year prison sentence.
Up to this point, the responses to Eminem’s commercial have been varied, as numerous individuals have taken to reimagining the artist’s verses to more accurately reflect the cryptocurrency industry. A comment from a Reddit user playfully referenced Eminem’s work by saying, “Will the real Satoshi please stand up?”
